Teleplan Globe has acquired Forsberg Holdings Limited, the parent company of UK-based Forsberg Services Ltd, marking a strategic expansion of its international offering in defence, homeland security, and critical communications.
For more than 35 years, Forsberg has been a trusted provider of advanced technologies for Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) – supporting defence, emergency response, and commercial customers across the UK and beyond. The company brings deep expertise in GNSS, inertial navigation, anti-jam solutions, situational awareness, and real-time data visualisation.
This acquisition builds on a longstanding collaboration between Teleplan Globe and Forsberg, particularly through the development of MANTIS – a joint solution that combines the core strengths of both companies to support mission-critical operations.
‘Teleplan Globe is excited to welcome Forsberg into our global family,’ says Jan Nyegaarden, CEO of Teleplan Globe. ‘This acquisition reinforces our commitment to delivering innovative, user-centric solutions that offer precise information when it matters most.’
The integration of Forsberg enhances Teleplan Globe’s ability to develop decision-support and control systems, especially in complex environments where accurate data is mission-critical. Forsberg customers will also benefit from increased software development capacity and a broader portfolio of integrated capabilities.
‘It was essential that any partner shared our values and commitment to innovation,’ says Chris Mayne, Managing Director of Forsberg. ‘Our partnership with Teleplan Globe has already produced cutting-edge solutions, and this step will allow us to accelerate our impact and reach.’
Forsberg will continue to operate under its existing leadership, with Chris Mayne remaining as Managing Director and the current management team retaining a significant minority shareholding. Founder Charles Forsberg will continue to support the company in an advisory role.
