Stein Gundersrud has been appointed CEO of Teleplan Globe and will assume responsibility for the company’s day-to-day operational management.
The defence and technology group Teleplan is making changes to its executive management and corporate structure. Effective from 1. October, the Group’s legal and strategic governance will be separated from the operational management of Teleplan Globe. The parent company, Teleplan AS, will be responsible for Group-level governance, while Teleplan Globe will provide a strong operational driving force.
“I look forward to leading Teleplan Globe into its next chapter. My job is to ensure that our companies are moving in the same direction, that we set the right priorities and that we deliver for our customers,” says Stein Gundersrud, the new CEO of Teleplan Globe AS.
Gundersrud previously served as Executive Vice President of Teleplan Globe. In his new role, he will be responsible for the company’s day-to-day management, including its operational structure, the management of its subsidiaries, prioritisation, execution and collaboration across the organisation.
The Structure Must Evolve with the Company’s Growth
The parent company, Teleplan AS, will set the long-term strategic direction for the Group and provide group-wide functions within finance, strategy and compliance.
Jan Nyegaarden has served as CEO of Teleplan Globe since 2022. He will now take on the roles of CEO of Teleplan AS and Group Chief Executive, while also becoming Chair of the Board of Teleplan Globe AS.
Teleplan has been developing technology for the defence and security sectors since 1959. Today, Teleplan Globe delivers software and systems solutions to defence organisations, police forces and emergency services in several countries. The company is also behind the Norwegian Armed Forces’ command and control system.
Headquartered at Lysaker in Norway, the company has operations in Norway, the United Kingdom, Germany and Ukraine.
“Teleplan has grown, and our structure must evolve accordingly. We are now establishing a clear distinction between Group governance and day-to-day operations. This will give Jan the scope to focus on the long-term development of the Group as a whole, while Stein will have the mandate to lead the daily operations,” says John Nyheim, Chair of the Board of Teleplan AS.
